Japanese tea ceremony workshops will be provided by Hakuunan Brisbane at ①11:30-12:00, ②12:15-12:45, ③13:00-13:30 & ④13:45-14:15. After a brief explanation and tea demonstration, the participants will get to have small dry sweets and make their own tea. 20 participants for each session. Please make sure to buy collect tickets as we will not accept any cancellations or refund.

Explore the art of Japanese ink painting, Sumi-e, at Matsuri Brisbane 2024! 

Join our workshop, where we’ll introduce you to the fundamentals of this beautiful art form. Step by step, you’ll learn how to paint bamboo using traditional techniques. All materials are provided, and you’ll get to take home your own Sumi-e masterpiece.

Why don’t you join our calligraphy workshop?

In this workshop, you will learn basic calligraphy techniques and experience creating your own one-of-a-kind art work. You will start by learning basic brush strokes, and finish by writing a character of your choice. Finally, you will write your name and affix a special seal to it. Beginners are welcome. We look forward to your participation.

For those who apply online will get a mini colored paper with a beautifully written calligraphy piece.

基礎から心を込めた書道作品への一歩を踏み出しませんか？

25分間の書道ワークショップを開催します。このワークショップでは、書道の基礎テクニックを学びながら、自分だけの唯一無二の作品を創り上げる経験をして頂けます。基本の筆遣いから始め、ご自分が選んだ文字を書いて頂きます。最後に自分の名前を書き、印鑑を押すことであなただけの特別な作品が完成する瞬間を体験出来ます。初心者の方も大歓迎です。作品はお持ち帰りいただけます。メールにてご予約頂いた方には素敵な一文字が書かれた豆色紙を差し上げます。
